Oops! I did it. My name is Katiya Xiong and I’m a proud mom, entrepreneur, and side hustler. I started a trend in my LinkedIn community when I repainted 300+ headshots over the fourth quarter to bring smiles to people into the holiday season. People are now using these magazine-looking avatars or cartoons on their profiles, social media posts, emails and signatures, brochures, mailers, business cards, t-shirts, websites, etc. On average, it takes me 45 – 60 min. to repaint a human headshot into a piece of digital artwork and this requires careful attention to detail and a quiet environment away from my wild kids. The best part about this job is when people tell me that it’s one of the most creative and useful pieces they’ve ever received. I can’t help but to continue with my artistic journey…

With all this time recovering ❤️🩹 it can certainly be humbling. I get a few good days in where my shoulder stops hurting then boom 💥 I get a day like today where it feels like a gut punch and have to stay glued to my ice machine and recliner.
However, no matter what I’m dealing with, I never lose sight of gratitude. To go from hating the world, thinking everyone else got everything they needed in life but me, to now owning my path, my decisions, and the life I’ve created makes me count every blessing and cherish each day.
